Finding Your Passion or Finding Your Purpose
IT Entrepreneurship Isn’t Just About Passion — It’s About Purpose, Serving Others, and Creating Holistic, Innovative Solutions That Push Technology’s Boundaries and Shape the Future
Purpose Over Passion: Reflections on My IT Entrepreneurship Journey
As an IT entrepreneur, the word “purpose” stands out more than “passion.” Don’t get me wrong —passion is essential. It fuels our curiosity and motivates us to venture into the unknown. But without purpose, passion is like running a race with no finish line. Purpose is what gives direction to our work, reminding us that we’re not just building systems, but creating solutions that impact people and communities.
I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to do work that aligns with my values and serves others.

Purpose Over Profit
In IT, it’s easy to get caught up in numbers, metrics, ROI, and the bottom line. But for me, it’s always been about the people we serve. Technology is a tool to solve real problems, not just to innovate for innovation’s sake. Whether it’s building custom applications, creating new enterprise content applications, improving collaborative workspaces in Microsoft 365 or automating tedious tasks, our goal is to free up time and resources so people can focus on what matters most.
This purpose also drives my community work. The VAN365View Microsoft User Group wasn’t created for recognition; it was a response to a need for connection, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration in the tech community. Starting it wasn’t easy, and many doubted its success, but it grew because it was driven by purpose: building a better city, one idea at a time.
Innovating with Intent
Innovation is often romanticized in entrepreneurship, but it’s not just about adopting the latest trends or dreaming up futuristic ideas. True innovation happens when you listen to your clients, your team, and the communities you serve. It’s about identifying gaps and creating solutions that address them effectively.
At Inside View Global, we’re committed to both the community and corporations, creating solutions that make a real difference. MonkAndu connects people with mentorship from anywhere, empowering individuals and mentors to share wisdom and grow together. The Rabbit streamlines the deployment of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems for Microsoft 365, helping organizations collaborate more efficiently. Our products reflect our belief that technology should serve people, making workspaces better and contributing to a more connected, impactful world.

Technology That Pushes Boundaries
Pushing technology’s boundaries doesn’t always mean chasing the next big thing. Often, it’s about asking, What’s needed? How can we do more with less? How can we create solutions that are effective and sustainable? I believe in balancing innovation with practicality, focusing on improving existing solutions to make them more efficient.
Building a Legacy of Service
Ultimately, for me, entrepreneurship is about service: empowering others through technology, mentorship, and community building. I’m blessed to contribute to something larger than myself and to create positive change. Entrepreneurship isn’t about seeking immediate rewards; it’s about planting seeds for long-term growth. When we approach our work with a mindset of service, we create lasting impact.
In every project, event, and solution, my focus remains clear: use technology for good. Serve others, innovate with intent, and consider both immediate and long-term impacts. I approach each case with a holistic perspective, always mindful of the broader impact. Never lose sight of the purpose behind your passion. To me, that’s what IT entrepreneurship is all about.
